Established in 1987 Edwards' Analytical is an independent consultancy for the analysis and evaluation of packaging materials, particularly for the pharmaceutical, health care and food industries. General analysis of plastics, rubbers, metals and glass is also conducted. Since many of the testing techniques used can be applied generally, we can test and analyse many more materials than our schedule shows.
With J H Edwards as a partner, Edwards’ Analytical also provides a service for the identification of archaeological materials and historical objects with emphasis on plastic objects d’virtue.
With a self-contained laboratory at Rose Cottage a wide range of analytical and testing techniques are available for the identification of constituent materials, their functional properties and the measurement of pack/product interactions.
Edwards' Analytical has been a UKAS / NAMAS accredited laboratory since 1994 for a wide range of analysis and evaluation of materials. Since September 2001, UKAS have accredited us to ISO 17025. Our particular reference is "Testing No 1431". Our current schedule can be confirmed on the UKAS web site www.ukas.org.uk
