Mrs. Eloise Lee Wallace, 75, of Leavenworth, passed away Sunday Feb. 5, 2012, in Leavenworth. She was born on April 26, 1936, in Montgomery, Ala., the second child of Thomas and Essie (Flowers) Lee.
She attended school in Montgomery, Ala. and graduated from Carver High School in 1954. She also attended college at Alabama State.
Eloise met and married Cecil F. Wallace, four children were born from this union. Eloise is survived by her husband, Cecil; her children, Felicia (James) Smith of Allen, Texas, Rodney F. Wallace of Leavenworth and Randall (Ada) Wallace of Overland Park, Kan.; her brother, Thomas Lee, Jr. of Overland Park; seven grandchildren, Janell Smith, Tayler Wallace, Drew Wallace, Tiara Stegall, Alyssa Wallace, Kayla Wallace and Ryan Wallace, Jr.; and a great-grandson, Jaden Hutchinson.
Eloise was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Colleen Lee and her son, Ryan Wallace.
She was a faithful member of the Leavenworth congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses for many years. She was a devoted mother. She had a great love of working in her yard and growing flowers. She will be dearly missed by family and friends.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012, at the R.L. Leintz Funeral Home. A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. after the visitation at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mount Muncie Cemetery.
