Rosemary Theresa Mulcare, 57, of Leavenworth, died Friday, July 19, 2013, at North Kansas City Hospice. She was born Nov. 13, 1955, in Wilmington, Del., the daughter of Robert A. and Isabelle R. (Gibison) Healy.
On Feb. 14, 1975, she married Terrance D. Mulcare at St. Edwards University in Austin, Texas. He survives at the home. She is also survived by her children, Meghan (Chris) Palmer of Katy, Texas, Claire Siobhan Mulcare of San Antonio, Texas, Kieran Mulcare of New York, NY., and Timothy F. Mulcare of New York, NY.; her grandchildren, Christopher Palmer, Emily Palmer and Audrey Palmer; and her siblings, Michael (Sylvia) Healy and Timothy (Suzie) Healy.
Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents and two siblings, Robert A. Healy and Sheila Colpo.
She graduated from the University of St. Mary in 2004. Rosemary was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, the Leavenworth Artist Association and was a Friendly Visitor with Catholic Charities. She worked for St. John Hospital and Cushing-St. Luke’s Hospital as a volunteer coordinator with hospice and home health. Rosemary most recently worked for Chapman Law office until her health failed.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at Immaculate Conception Church. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the church, with Rev. David McEvoy, O.Carm., as celebrant. Cremation will follow the service. Memorials in lieu of flowers are suggested to Catholic Charities Friendly Visitor program.
