Margaret Ann Glynn, 81, of Lansing, died Thursday, Jan. 27, 2011, at Twin Oaks Assisted Living.
She was born Feb. 24, 1929, in Leavenworth the daughter of John and Leona (Ferguson) Glynn.
Margaret worked for the Leavenworth Veterans Administration as a computer specialist retiring with 27 years of service. Prior to working for the VA she taught college at Quincy College in Illinois and at Briar Cliff College in Sioux City, Iowa. She is a graduate of Saint Mary College in Leavenworth. She was President of Pineview Golf Club in Atchison, Kan., for many years and was instrumental in promoting the youth golf program there.
She is survived by a nephew, John VanderMeer of Leavenworth; her adopted family, Mary and Jon Fallesen of Lansing, Matt and Jaime Fallesen and son, Jaden of Wildomar, Calif., and Jon and Kelsey (Fallesen) DeWeerd of Burbank Calif.; as well as many friends.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, John W. Glynn; her twin sister, Mary Jane “Buzz” Glynn; and their beloved dog, Sophia.
She was an avid golfer and Chiefs fan.
