Mary Ruth Alvesteffer, 43, of Leavenworth, died Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2012, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born June 25, 1968, in Burbank, Calif., the daughter of John William and Nettie Margeurite (Warren) Hardin.
Mary is survived by her husband, Keith Alvesteffer of the home; her sons, Michael Alvesteffer, Daniel Alvesteffer and Richard Alvesteffer; her daughters, Amanda Alvesteffer and Cassandra Alvesteffer ; her grandchildren, Adee Alvesteffer, Coltonn Alvesteffer and Jordan Alvesteffer all of the Leavenworth-Lansing area; her brother, Fred Shilling; and her sister, Kathy Ethridge.
She enjoyed a wide variety of crafts including quilting and sewing.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17, 2012, at the R.L. Leintz Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, at Saint Casimir Church with Rev. Phillip Winkelbauer as celebrant. Cremation will follow the funeral mass. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
